YMCA SPONSORS FIRST FRIDAY WITH CLASSES, LOCAL BAND Doylestown, Pa. –Give Zumba, BodyPump™ or AMPed among other classes a try at Central Bucks Family YMCA at the First Friday event on Friday, September 3. Instructors will be running mini-classes from 6:00pm to 8:30pm and available to answer all your questions at the Y site located at State and Hamilton Streets. Stop by for a balloon, face painting and chances to win prizes. Sports Activities Your children may have fine-tuned their soccer skills at the Y’s Camp Takoda this summer. If so, bring them to First Friday for a soccer shoot out from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Kids can give a try at tumbling from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. You can also learn more about fall sports leagues, sports clinics and more. Preschool Around the Corner Preschool registrations are currently being accepted for the Central Bucks Family YMCA Preschool. Take a look at some of the fun activities your youngster can participate in throughout the year, including new PATHS curriculum (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) focusing on self-esteem, social development and positive classroom environment, implemented with puppets and stories, Spanish and of course, swimming! The Y supports the First Friday efforts to celebrate the arts through local musicians and artists in and around Doylestown. Financial assistance is available.
