The Central Bucks Family YMCA will participate in Doylestown’s First Friday event this Friday, February 5, with a variety of entertaining events for the entire family.
All activities will be held at Central Bucks Family YMCA’s primary campus on Lower State Street and Memorial Drive in Doylestown beginning at 6:30pm.
“First Friday at the Y is perfect for families with children who span in age from toddlers all the way to high school. There’s something for everyone to enjoy doing!” says one member who frequently attends First Friday at the Y.
For Kids
Professional Storyteller Don Dougherty, from Classroom Adventure Stories, will take kids of all ages on an adventure. Join Don in Child Watch (formerly Kiddie Kare) 6:30-7:30 PM to see if his winter story will make it snow indoors or what other fantastic and magical treat he has for us all!
For Teens
The YMCA’s Teen Center is going to be the place to be this Friday! For one day only this winter, the Skate Park will be open from 3-8 PM. The cost to skate is $5 and hot chocolate will be available for $1.
The Teen Center will be hosting its first Pre-Teen Night! Community 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are invited to enjoy the amenities in the Teen Center from 7-10 PM. And don’t forget to bring your swim suit for a dip in the pool from 9-10 PM.
The Teen Center offers excellent programs throughout the year, including Teen Leaders, “band nights” featuring local bands, and homework help during the school year. All programs are provided in a safe environment with adult supervision.
